Conclusion After days of use, I was comfortable with the board in the system and everything worked as it should have. Turbo sounded good to me, so I used it! Another thing you should be aware of is that the problems associated with installing incorrect drivers for your Abit Motherboards hardware device are just as significant as the problems associated with installing third-party device drivers. VIA Apollo Pro 133/133A Motherboard Roundup – February 2000

This panel is a great way to see how recent or how outdated! While pulling the standard, early pfutzing with the motherboard, I found a couple of interesting BIOS settings. And in isolated testing, I didn’t experience an iota of instability related to this feature per se. What does this give it that other Abit boards don’t have? The first has to do with memory timing: These glitches seemed to be of the type usually caused by problematic video drivers, which I will discuss further below.

The stability at MHz with solid video drivers was very good, showing that Abit did a good job of integrating Softmenu akdio a VIA chipset motherboard.

Take the Poll Technica. So what’s up with that? Three fan connectors round this board out and make me smile. It is always painful, the hassle alone can ruin your entire weekend.

Here, your most recent driver Scan Summary, your computer hardware System Information, and Driver Detective News is displayed in an intuitive and easy to understand layout. I’m glad I’m not the only one surprised, however. Intel’s new E slot-1 chip is a winner.

OK, maybe that’s an exaggeration, but when I heard a rumor that ABIT was working on a VIA chipset motherboard, I scoffed and wrote it off as silliness, assuming that someone was attempting to pull a fast one on me. Hopefully, I won’t encounter any premature harddisk failure and ahit higher bus speeds will compensate for the 10Mhz drop in processor speed in the tests to follow.

Notes added after posting: Naturally, we asked one of the floor workers at ABIT about it, and they hadn’t a clue as to what we were talking about, and seemed as surprised as us. Until you see the ugly Big-Bird-esque Joystick port on the motherboard that accompanies the less intrusive but no more pleasantly colored mini-jack connectors signaling onboard audio, it’s clear that the two motherboards share a lot of design. I messed with these settings and found that I had no problems running my PC memory at the Turbo setting big surprise.

Yes, it is not so critical, but it is there on the board, so I need to test it. And as for multipliers, you will find: I don’t think it’s needed by everyone running it along a sb for example and it will make the bracket easier to make.

Damn, had to pass the delight of Mhz-by-Mhz overclocking. Device drivers function as a set of instructions that tell your computer how to effectively use your Ait Motherboards device. One test sample is now shipping to man, who has working chip, he’ll test replica with it. This is because, in part, GeForce cards do the texture and lighting calculations, so above MHz, the CPU is faster at it’s end, and is waiting for the GeForce to finish it’s calculations.

Hmm, what mojo did this add? Start your free scan now. Well still, I ca6 a little disappointed at what I saw. At “Turbo” speed, I got The numbers below show the 3D Mark results at the 3 bus frequency settings with the Pentium III doing all the calculations for 3D acceleration. The smaller board fitted snugly and it actually took me less time to aurio it in than taking out the larger BX
