I’ve revived several Slot 1 CPUs that way and also memory modules and graphics cards. I didn’t make any other changes, exited the BIOS Would I need a PCspeaker plugged in to hear the beeps?

Should you need the SB-link connector for some PCI sound-cards, you’ll be content to know that one is provided, although the Creative PCI sound-cards which the SB-link was 1st intended for usage are engineered in a different way that you don’t require this connector to get full DOS sound support.
It comes with a motherboard temp sensor but no cpu temp sensor. Is that the BOIS jumper? On top of that, the jumpers asux difficult to take out! The PSU of my was crashing the computer after a while. These people fear that if the board or chip refuses to boot at the high speeds, clearing the CMOS might not work all the time.
Man what a learning experience this has been O28 I set the motherboard jumpers to those settings, it will not post. Is it safe c short this, and how can i do that safely? Any advice would be much appreciated!
Windows 98 build 4. Return to General Old Hardware. Oddly, Asus, sells it separately. Press return twice to start your list 1. Of course CPU utilization was a it highest causing my PII to scream, but what was pleasantly surprising was that the system never hang.
If it does’nt, it can still be that problem but there’s no way to be sure.
