When I put it in custom bios, not successful. On a similar system I have from Asus my modprobe. The Jetway engineers suggested upgrading the kernel, I thought fair enough, this did not help. Once working fine I moved it to my physical server.

Previously, it appears to have been using the piix module to access the drive with the root fs on it. Some of auci boot failures are expected. I am currently looking for what is making the difference. You can use the –preload option to manually specific modules though, so you could always try turning AHCI off, booting Fedora, making your custom image: The physical machine will only boot if I set the controller to IDE compatibility mode.
The goal was simple, allow me to configure bios to refuse any other medium besides the disk connected via SATA Port 0 to be booted from.
